Born in the East End of London, Mike came from a working class family that had no connection with the theater.  On leaving school he worked for the British Broadcasting Company, as  a Micro-Filmer.  Not a good match.  After being asked to leaving in 1975 he followed his dream to be an actor and was accepted into East 15 Acting School.  He graduated in 1978, beginning as a dancer in a burlesque floorshow and staring in a fringe adaptation of an Israeli play called Night of The Twentieth.  He continued to dance and act, working in fringe and Repertory Theatre.  In 1979 he toured Israel performing in a Circus and almost starved for his pains.

When joining the Not The Nine O’Clock News team for their live show at Drury Lane, he was asked by Mel Smith to Choreograph.  He continued to perform and Choreograph assisting John Michael Tabelek in an English tour of Godspell which turned out to be the last that JMT directed.  He then Joined Lumiere & Son Theatre Company one of England’s most respected experimental theatre companies. Some of his past shows include: Ensemble and Nicely Nicely cover in The Royal National Theatre’s “Guys and Dolls”, Seymour in “Little Shop of Horrors , Uncle Earnie in “Tommy“ and The Lead in the Leiber and Stoller Musical “Yakety Yak.

New York is now his home. Performing many one person shows, and appearing as Mike in Joe Orton’s “Ruffian on the Stair” at the Pulse, John Billings in “HelpDesk” at the Producers Club and Donald Heller in “The Rook”, a feature film which made it‘s NY debut at the Screening Room.

After several years doing showcases, cabaret and forging a new career in New York in the Legal field, he could not stay away from his first love any longer, so he became the understudy for both roles in the Off-Broadway production of “The Mystery of Irma Vep”, taking over from the soon to be very famous Steven DeRosa and played  the Fool in American Globe‘s production of King Lear.  He has just completed a year and a half Off-Broadway, again as an understudy for “The Countess”.

The year 2000 sent Mike back to work for Law Firms and also a vendor or two.  He has appeared in a Law & Order CI and Law & Order and was very depressed after blowing an audition for the Sopranos
