This show, formerly at The Greenwich Street Theater and then The Samuel Beckett on 42nd Street, then now moved to The Lamb’s Club on 44th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.
I had a good run with this. Having been mentioned in a review by Clive Barnes and having the back of my head featured in the New York Times, when the show had to move due to the demolition schedule of Theater Row.
This is a show about the Victorian English Art Critic, John Ruskin. There was a scandal connected with his wife and a Pre-Raphaelite artist Millais. This is a new piece, written by Gregory Murphy and is one of the best scripts I have read in a long while.
After 500 performances, James Riordan decided to take four shows off and I finally got to play John Ruskin. It was a delight and so were the audiences and company. It is rare that a little fat character actor get to play such a well written leading role. |
