On September 27th and 29th, there was a staged reading of Exclusive Yarns at the Frier’s Club. It is a comedy, written by Gary Lyons and Stewart Permutt. I have known these two guys for many years. Gary and I began a comedy act in England and has always berated me for moving to the States. The show is a very funny spoof on the soap opera and those who live for and through it.
We repeated the show on November 15th and 16th. |

This is a show that a friend of mine wrote quite a while ago. It was a great success in England, starting in fringe, then television and finally the West End. |

We repeated the reading on November 15th and 16th at Tapica, a restaurant in the Theater District.
Instead of Just Sara Kestleman coming over, we were also graced by Jenny Logan and Robert Howie who were in the original casts. I am not sure about the future, as our second performance was not up to scratch. It was a thrill to work with these actors. |

My character’s name was Malcom Tube driver , married with two children. Through the desire to cross dress and imitate his favorite soap diva, he begins having doubts. Right is a number the character does at the end of Act 1. Which is a sad comment on relying on soap operas to fulfill you. |
