I had hardly taken breath from King Lear, when I got a call to from a chappie called Marvin Kaye, saying that he was looking for an ensemble baritone and that my name had been put forward by the musical director, Rachel Kaufman, who was the MD of HelpDesk.

The dates were free, so I said yes.  This was another recommendation that originated from HelpDesk, a musical that I did about a year and a half ago.  The last referral was to do King lear form the assistant director, Nate Merchant, who saw me in HelpDesk.

Funny how things go.  Also, Marvin Kaye is the father of Terry Kaye who played Cordelia in King Lear.  Go figure.
